Dear Year 10 parents and carers,
Following on from previous communications via email and our On The Radar newsletter, I am writing to remind you of the important Year 10 exams taking place next week. Hopefully you have been able to support your daughter/son to revise at home so that they are well prepared.
Almost all Year 10 students have spent at least 10 years of their lives working towards this point (and the year that lies ahead). We want to ensure that students are well prepared and have the right level of personal discipline and determination to do well. Please support us with this at home where you can.
Please see the Year 10 exam timetable (Pdf, 188kb).
We will be running these exams in a very similar way to the external, formal exams that will be sat at the end of Year 11. It is essential that students get used to the process and conduct themselves appropriately. It is essential that rules and regulations are followed. To not do so may mean that exam grades do not count as well as other, serious disciplinary measures from exam boards which we want to avoid for all students.
These details are also available outside of the exams office (near classroom M1).
Reports will be published at the end of the term which will give you some insight into how these exams have gone. This will also help you to consider how time can be spent before Year 11 and into the new school year.
Your daughter/son is part of a talented and likable group of young people. We wish them well for the week ahead and for the remainder of the summer.
Mr S White
